Warren Ellis was asked
what do you do when (if) you ever feel like giving up?
His reply was
There is no such goddamn thing. There is only getting up and doing it all over again, smarter and harder, until something ups and fucking kills you, because that’s the only thing big enough to stop you.
This is The Great Work, and all you have to do is choose it, not look back and never fucking stop until you’re in your box, under the dirt and flowers are growing between your teeth.
And that is why I’ll never be asked to do motivational speaking. G’night.
So it is pretty obvious that this is no longer a family-friendly weblog and I’m okay with that. On a far more serious note this is not the exact angle from which I would approach the question/problem but the core action is essentially true. When things are at their worst is when you should fight the hardest. There are people that quit when it is the most difficult and they do so in the most final way possible. They quit when there is the most left to do.
Best to not quit until everything is done or the Spirit in the Sky tells you your time is done.
